Round Two...

Here is the second set of recipe cards. I love these little cards and think they would make such a wonderful gift - with a family cookbook or favorite cookbook of course.

This week is crazy and I am kicking myself for not planning more for Charlotte's party - coming up this weekend. I have decided to get over myself and just keep it simple stupid! So... I am hoping a light lunch, a little play, and some pink princess decor will bless my little red-headed bundle of joy on her special day. :)

Happy Holidays...

I must say I do feel a bit disorganized this year. I am slowly adding invitations and my holiday line to the shop. I had wanted to get more completed this year, but it looks like 2011 will hopefully showcase some of my new designs - I can't tell you how long it sometimes takes for me to "finalize" something. Regardless, I hope you enjoy a few of last year's favorites that I have pictured here. Check back for the other set of recipe cards and Charlotte's trip to see Princesses on Ice. It was so much fun!

Beauty and The Beast

Finally, here are the halloween pictures. I thoroughly had a great time with the kids. I think I had more fun than they did. This was the first year that I have been able to take even Charlotte and we all went out as a family in our neighborhood to trick or treat. The kids had so much fun and once Charlotte figured out that saying "trick or treat" at each neighbor's door resulted in more candy she was game.

Douglass Charles impressed me with keeping his costume on the WHOLE night and Charlotte was thrilled with her ballerina princess costume - compliments of Nanna. She obviously felt so pretty and she has asked me multiple times since Sunday if we could go trick or treating again.

We are already looking forward to next year - now I really can't wait to see what the Christmas holidays bring.

Recipe Cards

I love to cook and I have a little box full of recipes, a shelf full of cookbooks, and my favorite channel is the Food Network. I love all things cooking (so much so that I ask for cookbooks and kitchen utensils/mixers for Christmas). So... it is only fitting that I offer a recipe card. So here is the first one - the Fork and Knife Recipe Card. Simple, but yet easy for jotting down a favorite recipe and truly a great little something for the advid chef in your life. Enjoy!

Christmas Tags

As promised here are the new tags that I am SUPER excited about for the holidays. Aren't they cute? Thursday, check back for a new item - recipe cards (I actually have two I will be offering but will only be featuring one on Thursday). I hope you like them as much as I do. And yes, Halloween is coming...

Project Bless

With halloween festivities over our family is actually entering into the month of one of my favorite holidays - Thanksgiving. Good food and family - to me you just can't get better than that - but the symbolic meaning of the holiday is something I like even more - the reminder to be ever thankful. So I have decided to put a grateful attitude into practice around our house and we are going to seek to bless others with our gratitude. I hope you will join me.

Our little project is called - you guessed it - Project Bless. Basically I put together a calendar of what we will do each week to bless someone out of the ordinary. Here is a little description of our plan:
Week 1 – treats and thank you note to local fire department
Week 2 – treats and thank you note to local police station
Week 3 – collect canned goods and drop them off at the food bank/take goodies and thank you note to our church
Week 4 – treats and thank you note to our local grocer/drop some goodies by a neighbor

Please feel free to copy the logo above and share with others - on your blog or website - and just to help get you started, feel free to use the thank you image and calendar I have below. Remember you can do this just once over the month or multiple times. Regardless, a note, a few goodies, an email of thanks will bless those around you and, in fact, bless you in return.

Friends and Family

I am kicking off the first of November - our month of thanks - with a BIG thank you to all my faithful friends and family of The English Pea Studio. Take 15% off your entire purchase (excludes shipping). Use your discount this week (Code: Friends and Family - in the "message to seller" upon purchase), as it will be over Sunday, November 7th, and stock up early for those holiday gifts and supplies. Stay tuned for my new gift tags tomorrow and a little Thanksgiving project later today.

Hope your Halloween was FABULOUS! Pictures coming soon!
