happy 4th!

Doug laughs at me, but I am such a sucker for traditions and especially food traditions. So... to celebrate our nation's independence we are serving up some grilled shrimp, corn, and potatoes this evening. Dessert is still up in the air, but key lime pie or these cupcakes would be delicious. And I think some neighborhood fireworks might be in order as well.

What are you doing to celebrate the 4th?

Sounds wonderful! I love traditions, too, and am drooling over your shrimp!

We're having burgers, baked beans, sweet tea, and homemade ice cream with some friends down the street! And hopefully, the boys can stay awake long enough for the fireworks show! Happy 4th!

that sounds delicious - especially the homemade ice cream. We love doing something with friends or family too, but this year is a quiet one (seeing as everyone seems to be at the beach - so jealous!) I believe rain will thwart our firework plans. Planning on wine and some quiet time with the hubs. :)
