And the Winner Is...

Congratulations to Paige English, our June Bride Apron Giveaway winner. Believe it or not Paige is not a relative (very distant if she is). She is a blogger and found my giveaway on the Apronista Blog. Thanks to all who entered and thanks to The Apronista for helping me promote it. Please check back in the future for more giveaways coming your way.

My Birthday Suit

If you have read my title or if you know me you know that I am the oldest of six children. With every one of us my mother took naked pictures of us around six months of age. I decided to do this with Charlotte. They turned out pretty cute, but I only felt comfortable sharing one photo here online (family please feel free to contact me and I am happy to share). She looked so cute just sitting there in that bowl. The only times she would smile was when I would get her daddy to come and talk/play with her. I guess she was embarrassed that I would take her picture naked - I know this is not true because she loves being in her birthday suit. :)

On another note... for those of you following the apron giveaway, there is only one week left. Please feel free to let your friends know. The giveaway will be announced next Monday, June 30th. Good luck! (Scroll down to enter)

Father's Day

I know this is kind of late, but our computer crashed and I am just now able to post about Doug's first Father's Day. It was a special one as we got to celebrate it with Doug's parents (that is Doug's father in the photo). They came over Friday and left after taking us to Father's Day lunch on Sunday. They also were so kind as to give Doug and I a date night Saturday night all expenses paid. It was wonderful!

I believe Doug's first father's day was special. He loves his little girl very much. I know he cherishes every minute with her and his eyes light up every time she is around. She is going through a little separation anxiety right now and while it is frustrating for Doug he really is the only person that she will remain happy with for a long period of time.

I want to take this moment to express my love and gratitude to Doug. He is a great father and wonderful husband. Charlotte and I couldn't be more blessed and Charlotte says "Ahhhhh, Grrr, cough, cough, ba ba ba , ma ma ma." Traslation: I love you, Daddy!

Sunbathing Pool Side

Stylin' in sunglasses!

All smiles for the camera.

Swimming with daddy (she later loved doing this once she realized that she was safe and sound).

Getting a sip of daddy's drink on a hot day!

Yummmmm!

Yesterday afternoon we took Charlotte to our neighborhood pool. It was her first time in the pool and at first she wasn't too sure. She finally realized it was just like being in a big bathtub but with lots of other people. By the end of our trip she was squealing with delight and joyfully soaking in some rays.

She looked too cute in her little two-piece. It took me forever to find one in her size. The sunglasses just added to the ensemble. Doug and I laughed and laughed over our little one - as did everyone else at the pool. She was too funny and too cute for her own good. :)
